The LIFE Programme is the funding mechanism for the environment of the EU. Its main goal is to contribute to towards the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental policy, pilot projects or demonstration of European added value. The LIFE – Nature programme co-finances projects that aim to restore and conserve threatened habitats, and protect conservation priority species in the EU.
Natura 2000 – European Nature for you! This project was implemented within the European Natura 2000 Network. It was selected because it includes one of the most threatened species and habitats in Europe. All the 28 countries of the EU are working together in the Natura 2000 Network to protect the natural heritage of Europe, diverse and rich, for the benefit of all.
